About Sophie:

Since 1991 Sophie has worked happily as a filmmaker and cinematographer specialising in natural history in remote locations throughout the world from 78 degrees South to 78 degrees North with a lot of Africa in between. Sophie won a BAFTA in 2016 and was accepted as a BAFTA member in 2018.

Quite something to see Klimt’s Beethoven Frieze Quite something to see Klimt’s Beethoven Frieze in Vienna’s Succession building, really moving as you listen to ‘Ode to joy’ whilst pondering...EU’s anthem. The frieze Is Klimt’s take on humankind’s search for happiness & this end of the room had all the best bits...giant Typhoeus (a gloriously unmonstrous winged monster) & all manner of representations of “hostile forces.” Thanks to @dalkeybookfestival & @designontherise for top tour
Whilst working on @bbcearth #dynasties we really g Whilst working on @bbcearth #dynasties we really got to know the #marshpride This is Yaya (how we knew her) a slightly cross eyed & young lioness who had a deep dislike of mongoose. Yaya was Charm’s eldest daughter & one of our favourite characters. Wisest to keep her in sight as she had a definite interest in socks.
